Vincent Moore
Last seen in Wichita, Kansas on July 11, 2015
Vital statistics: Black male. Born on March 3, 2015. Black hair, brown eyes. Was four months at the time.
Circumstances: He was initally abducted by his non-custodial father, Gary McKensey Moore Jr. A photo of him is posted below. He was last seen with his father as they left his home in near 31st Street South and Hydraulic in Wichita. His mother, Michelle Mendez, had dropped him and his two year old brother off with their father on June 5 for a visitation. The visitation was supposed to last a month, but Mendez was unable to speak to the children after July 9, and she notified the police at the end of July that they were missing. Moore was arrested on a parole violation July 29 at a traffic stop; Vincent's brother was with him but Vincent was not. Moore had been convicted of assault on Mendez and sentenced to a year of probation along with paying court costs, wearing a GPS tracking device on his ankle, and no contact with Mendez. He had cut off the tracking device and had also married Mendez in February 2015. He was sentenced to a year in prison as a result. He pled guilty to tampering with the bracelet and was sentenced to additional time in jail. Before Vincent vanished, his mother had filed for a protective order two weeks after she last saw her sons, saying that it was "only a matter of time" before Moore hurt them. DCF officials have said they believe Vincent is deceased; they took his brother into state custody in August 2015. Vincent has never been found and there is little evidence to his fate.
