Above: John Weichelt in 1983
John Albert Weichelt Jr.
Last seen in Houston, Texas in February or March 1983
Vital statistics: White male. Born on July 9, 1940. Blond hair, blue eyes. He has a scar on his side and wears a mustache. He has a partial plate for his front teeth. His nickname is "Jack". Some agencies give his middle name as "Aaron." Was forty-two at the time.
Circumstances: Weichelt was last seen at a bus stop at the 600 block of Richmond Avenue. Last know residence was a townhouse on Cheyenne Avenue in Houston Texas. Other known residence before his disappearance is Toledo, Ohio. He has been in the military and is good with computers. Classified as Missing.
Theories: I do not think he is living because he loved computers and he loved his son and he would have been on the computer and seeing his son. He was an extremely intelligent man but he had a severe drinking problem. My theory is that he was unable to control the drinking and landed on the streets. My brother last saw him at a bus stop, his car was "in the shop" and he wouldn't let my brother drive him anywhere. While I hope in the case he is voluntary missing and has a new family, that does not seem to be the case.
